Instructor: Todd Richardson (Rock Central)
Recommended ages: All ages (adults welcome too!)
Maximum number of students: 12
About the workshop: In this era of "do-it-yourself" projects, it's never been easier to record your music from the comfort of your own home, in a way that is both simple and affordable. In this workshop, instructor Todd Richardson walks you through the process of creating your home recording studio. Todd will cover all basics, from finding a good space and setting up proper acoustics, to selecting the right equipment and software to meet your needs (and budget). Come learn how, then go home, get recording, and share your music with the world!
About the instructor: Todd Richardson has extensive experience in the local and national music markets, spending time locally, in Nashville, and beyond. Todd has been playing the bass guitar for 36 years, most notably in the band Carry Nation, who released six full length CD's and sold thousands of units worldwide, with great success in Europe. Carry Nation was nominated for 15 WAMI awards, winning seven, including one for Todd for Bass Guitarist of the Year in 2007. He currently offers recording opportunities at Rock Central in Lake Geneva, WI, where he serves as bass instructor and music director.
